Connect to GovWifi with your public sector email address
You need a public sector email address to create a GovWifi account.
If you don’t have a public sector email address, you can connect to GovWifi as a visitor.
1. Create a GovWifi account
To create a GovWifi account, use your public sector email address to:
- send a blank email to signup@wifi.service.gov.uk
- leave the subject line blank
We’ll reply with your username and password.
Check your spam or junk email folder if the email doesn’t come through in a few minutes.
2. Connect to GovWifi
By connecting to GovWifi, you accept our privacy notice and terms and conditions.
To connect your device:
- go to your device wifi settings and select GovWifi
enter the username and password we sent you
The password will be 3 words without spaces. It’s case sensitive.
You can use the same password to connect all your devices to GovWifi.
